Carl Carter is a self-taught artist from Muskegon Heights, MI. After graduating from high school in 1982 he joined the US Army where he was honorably discharged after 8 years of active duty. Carl stayed in the Seattle area for the next 14 years where he worked as a steel worker for 12 years. 

After a severe back injury and not being able to work, Carl fell into hard financial times. He figured if he could teach himself how to paint the way he could always draw, he could at least help make ends meet. Turns out he was a natural! From selling art in the downtown Seattle area from 2001-2003, while educating himself on the business of cart. Carl today does art commissions, murals, portraits, solo shows as well as vendor across the country at art fairs and festivals.
